Assembly was super easy, thanks to the detailed instruction booklets & videos. I was able to do it alone, and I’m a short, post 60 y/o, woman. Being short helped when climbing in and out during assembly. The run was also easy to assemble, but don’t expect all of your fingernails to survive the process if you do it by hand. A pair of smooth jaw, flat nose, pliers came in handy squeezing the clips. They’re not hard to do and require minimal pressure, but the pliers gave my fingers a little relief. Customer service was top notch pre and post sale, and I was very, very, pleasantly, surprised. There were two parts damaged by the carrier and backyardsun replaced them right away. However, please note that packaging was exceptional in detail, labeling, and protection. The coop is a breeze to clean, which was my main reason for purchasing it. We’ve had stick built coops in the past and this one eliminates all of the problems associated with them. Things I would change: Stronger welds on the skirting – I’ve had a couple detach, and uniform support on the corners. I received 4 identical corners, so the vertical support is on top for 2 and bottom for the other 2. I would also like a hatch, incorporated on the side panel, to access the ladder for removal and cleaning. Fantastic ladder, btw! Lastly, if you’re short, you’ll have to spread your wings a bit wider to reach/grab the handles to move the tractor. It’s doable, but slightly awkward. The tractor turns on a dime and even an old lady can do it.

I purchased the cooprun instead of building my own and I’m happy I did. It took about 2 hous to build the pro which felt like a long time but I’m sure it saved me a lot of time compared to building my own. I’m very happy with the quality and features….I know it’s going to save me a lot of time and energy caring for my chickens.

Awesomeness – it went together in a couple of hour long sessions, and my girls took to it, after some gentle coaxing, within a couple of days. Everything is so easy to move, access & clean. I do miss the lofty ceilings of their old custom made wooden coop, however the girls don’t seem to mind at all. The large nesting box is awesome, and I love being able to use wood shavings for nesting rather than expensive nesting pads. My cost and effort on procuring pine shavings and nesting pads has been eliminated, as now we just use wood shavings entirely. My only recommendation for improvement to Omlet would be to have the locking device for the large door access pre-installed, like it is on the nesting box. It has been no hardship though to not have this already in place. I look forward to years of happy girls and yummy eggs in their mid-century modern Coop. I’d highly recommend Cooprun products to anyone that loves chicken keeping!!

I bought the large Coop which is home to my 6 chickens, although it could easily hold more. Relatively easy to clean and keep bug free but there are areas where red mites could lurk!. Easy to assemble following the instructions. A considerable expense compared to wooden options, but whilst are expensive they are easily maintained, which made it my preferred choice. Only knocked off a star because I was supposed to get an aditional 5% off. Overall would still absolutely recommend them.

First impressions were that everything is very well made and good quality. The build process was easy to follow with great instructions and everything was clearly labelled for assembly. The coop is on legs with a small entry ladder to the inside space and an area beneath which the hens can also use. The Coop is definitely looks as though it is designed to last a lifetime; solid in structure and made from plastic so it doesn’t require painting or treatment to prevent rotting / weather damage. The features I am really impressed with are the pull out trays below the roosting area, which make it very quick and easy to clean out the hens. The large lift off door and removable panels where the hens roost also make it a really straightforward cleaning process, because everything lifts out. Underneath the coop is a wire section which the hens use all the time during the day to shelter if the weather is bad! It’s not a huge coop in terms of the amount of room it takes up in my garden but it has loads of interior space for the hens and it is working really well for me in conjunction with the walk in run.
